Methuen - Angelina P. Piantigini, 99, of Methuen, MA, passed away peacefully on Wednesday June 24, 2026, at her residence surrounded by her loving family. She is the daughter of the late Alfredo and Maria (Montuori) Fuoco. Angelina was born on November 14, 1926, in Lawrence, Massachusetts.

Angelina attended school in Lawrence, and at the age of 16 she went to work at various Lawrence Mills. She married her childhood sweetheart and they had six children. After raising her children she went back to work, eventually retiring from Honeywell.

Mom loved children. She took the time to play school with her children, teaching us our ABC's and arithmetic on a chalkboard. She created fictional stories and songs for her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. When her children were young, many summers were spent camping at the Mohawk Trail. While the other campers were eating hot dogs and hamburgers, Mom was cooking full meals for us. Angelina loved getting together with her family at the Holidays and this tradition still lives on.

She had a great sense of humor and enjoyed hearing and telling jokes. She also enjoyed watching movies and going to Foxwoods Casino. Mom especially loved her trips to Italy. She loved it so much and would talk about going back again one day.

She had an incredible memory of her childhood days and loved to reminisce about the gas streetlights, having an ice box instead of a refrigerator, and of celebrating the end of World War II with a parade on Essex Street.

She was extremely hospitable to anyone who came to her home and always made you feel welcome. To her family, she was a loving and dedicated Mother and her legacy lives on in the traditions she created.

Angelina was predeceased by her husband Pasquale (Pat) Piantigini and her sister Elizabeth Napoli. Angelina is survived by her brother Joseph Fuoco and his wife Sarah, sister-in-law Rachel Hadley, her children Dennis Piantigini and his wife Karen, Linda Plain, Patricia Piantigini, Robert Piantigini and his wife Anna, Denise and her husband Joseph, John and his wife Cathy, 12 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank the Nurses from Hospice for their compassion, care and support during this difficult time.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend calling hours on Wednesday, July 1, 2026, from 4:00PM to 7:00PM at Cataudella Funeral Home, 126 Pleasant Valley Street, Methuen, MA. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel on Thursday July 2, 2026 at 11:00AM. Burial will follow at Immaculate Conception Cemetery, Lawrence.
