Haverhill - Ann P. Hackett, 79, passed away peacefully on February 7, 2026, at Prescott House in North Andover surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of Robert E. Hackett to whom she had been married for fifty-nine years.

Born in Termon, County Donegal, Ireland on April 10, 1946, she was the daughter of the late Stephen and Catherine O'Donnell.

Ann was educated in Ireland. She emigrated to the United States as a young woman receiving her citizenship in 1974. Ann built a long and dedicated career in the technology and medical manufacturing field. Over the years she worked for Honeywell Corp, Wang Laboratories, and retired at Phillips Medical Systems in North Andover. She cherished and valued the time spent while raising her family, and, on occasion, returning to visit her family in Ireland.

Besides her husband Robert, Ann is survived by her daughters, Catherine Mercier and her husband Michael of Revere, MA, Robin Parker and her companion Chris of Weare, NH; twelve siblings including her sister Mary Reade and her husband Ronald of Groveland, MA; nine grandchildren, eight great grandchildren. Ann was predeceased by daughter Joanne Sweeney.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral service on Saturday, February 14, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. at Dole, Childs & Shaw Funeral Home, 148 Main St., Haverhill, MA. Calling hours will precede the funeral from 12:00 to 1:45 p.m. Memorial donations in Ann's name may be made to the National Kidney Foundation, 30 East 33rd Street, New York, NY 10016.
