Barbara A. Rostosky
April 13, 1949 - October 17, 2025
Haverhill - Barbara A. Rostosky, 76, passed away peacefully on October 17, 2025 at High Pointe House in Haverhill. She was the wife of Edward Rostosky, to whom she was married 55 years.
Born in Cambridge, MA on April 13, 1949, she was the daughter of the late Harold and Gladys (Heller) Shea.
Barbara was raised in Cambridge and graduated from Cambridge High Latin School, Class of 1967. Her career as a Supervising Clerk in the Probation Department of the Haverhill District Court spanned many years before retiring in 2013.
She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, weekends on Lake Ossipee, and sewing beautiful and creative gifts.
Beside her husband Edward, Barbara is survived by her children, Stephen Rostosky and his wife Susan and their children Lauren, Linsey and Sarah, Michael Rostosky and his wife Nicole and their children Emily, Abigail and Benjamin; siblings, Margaret Makris and her husband Louis, Christine Robicheau and her partner Steve Palenscar, Paula Blasik and her husband John, Nancy Sheehan and her husband Patrick, Edward Shea, Hollylynn Jenness, and several nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral on Thursday, October23, 2025 at 10:00a.m. at Dole, Childs & Shaw Funeral Home, 148 Main St., Haverhill, MA 01830 to be followed by interment at the Lithuanian Cemetery. Calling hours will be Wednesday from 4:00 to 8:00p.m. In lieu of flowers donations in Barbara's name may be made to BostonSight, 464 Hillside Ave.,

Plant a tree: How does it work
When your purchase is complete, a post will be made on the tribute wall of the deceased signifying the planting of a memorial tree.
An official certificate recognizing your purchase will be included with your email receipt. You can then forward the email to the family or print it and give it to them personally.
After an order is placed, our forestry partners will plant the tree in the area of greatest need (nearest the funeral home), according to the planting schedule for the year.
Due to seasonal conditions, the tree planting takes place during the spring and summer.

January - May
Planting will take place in Spring or Summer of the same year.
June - December
Planting will take place in Spring of the following year.
