Methuen, MA — Mr. Benjamin C. "Oyibo Labman" Chibuogwu, age 57, of Methuen, MA, died Saturday, December 7, 2013, at his home.

Born in Awka, Nigeria, he was the son of the late Ozo Chibuogwu Onyera and Esther Chinwuko Chibuogwu of Nigeria. He came to the USA in 1982 and became a citizen in 1988. He graduated with a bachelors in Accounting from UMASS Lowell and owned the vending machine company, Millennium Limited.

He was a member of the Nigerian Merrimack Valley Association, Peoples Club of Nigeria in Boston and the Awka Development Union. He was also a valued member of St. Monica's Church in Methuen, MA.

He is survived by two sons, Onyera Chibuogwu and Ekwinife Chibuogwu of Methuen, MA; three daughters, Jennifer Chuks-Chibuogwu of Williamstown, MA, Akemma and Adazae Chibuogwu of Methuen, MA; two brothers, Emmanuel and Felixe Chibuogwu of Seattle, WA; his sister, Rose Okoye and many nieces and nephews. Benjamin will be remembered for his great faith in the Lord, for the love he had for his people of Nigeria, and for the love he had for his five children. He will be greatly missed.
