Amesbury - Billie "Tennie" D. Deveau, age 70, of Amesbury and former longtime resident of Haverhill, passed away peacefully on July 3, 2026, at High Pointe Hospice House in Haverhill.

She was born in Nashville, Tennessee, on March 6, 1956, daughter of the late William and Freddie May (Adkins) White.

She was educated in the Haverhill School System, attended Haverhill High, and moved further into having a career through Northern Essex Community College. Billie was a lifetime CNA worked through several nursing facilities.

She loved cooking out and campfires, shopping, scratch cards, and bingo. Tennie enjoyed the beach, hanging out with family, and vacationing with hot tubs. Shopping with her sister.

She volunteered in her community, working alongside the Salvation Army in Haverhill; She was Catholic and sent her prayers to Sacred Hearts.

Tennie is survived by her husband William R. Deveau, Sr.; children William R. Deveau Jr. and his wife Danielle of Salisbury; Gina M. Deveau and her wife Alyce and her children James and Michelle of Haverhill; Siblings Julie Crowley Savage and her husband John Lee of Newmarket, NH, Carol D. Wydola and her husband David of Danville, NH. Billy W. White of Weare, Grandchildren: Destiny, Mia, Jordyne, Billy, Sadie, Jonathan, Michaela, Neriah, great grandchildren: Sofia and Mariella; as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins, and aunts and uncles.

She was predeceased by her son Michael Deveau in 2021, brother Richard C. White and sister Joanne V. Rossitto.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend her visitation on Thursday, July 9th from 5 to 7 in the H.L. Farmer & Sons Funeral Home, 106 Summer St., Haverhill. Her Funeral service will be on Friday, July 10th at 11:00 AM in the H.L. Farmer & Sons Funeral Home. Interment will be private and at the convenience of her family.

Contributions in her memory can be made to the Boys Club of Amesbury and as well as to the Pettinggill House in Salisbury, Mass.
