Salem, NH - Catherine (Kotsiras) Shambarger, 83 of Salem, NH, died peacefully Friday at the Halcyon House, Methuen, MA.
Catherine was born in East St. Louis, MO. She grew up and was educated in St. Louis, MO. She was a resident of Salem, NH for over 50 years. She wintered in Palm Bay, FL for many years.
Catherine worked as a School Aide for the North Salem, NH Elementary School. She had also worked at the former Pizza Time in Salem, NH. She was a member of the Red Hatters and enjoyed her bowling leagues at Sandy's Bowling Alley in Salem, NH. She also enjoyed golf, bingo, cruising, traveling, and entertaining. She was also an amazing cook.
Catherine was predeceased by her beloved husband Frank C. Shambarger III and her daughter Pamela Ann Shambarger.
She is survived by her loving children: Denise Cannon of Derry, NH, Cheryl and her husband David Ruffen of Salem, NH, Frank IV and his wife Heather Shambarger of Salem, NH, and Kathy and her husband David Espinosa of Salem, NH, Sisters: Irene Kotsiras and Georgia Clark of Illinois. Grandchildren: Tom Cannon, Nick and his wife Casey Cannon, Kyle and Andrew Ruffen, Evan and Elle Shambarger, Kelcey and her husband Matt Waldron, Kevin O'Neil, and Ava Espinosa. Great Granddaughter: Eden Cannon, and Several Nephews.
Visitation will be held Thursday, Dec.12th from 4-7 PM at the Carrier Family Funeral Home, 38 Range Rd, Windham, NH. Funeral services will be held Friday, Dec. 13th at 10:30 AM at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery, Salem, NH.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the: Alzheimer's Assoc. of NH at team name District 1107.
