Derry, NH - Daniel (Danny) P. Yeo, of Derry, N.H., passed away in the comfort of his home on Thursday, September 12, 2019, surrounded by his wife and children after succumbing to cancer. He was 75.
Born in Haverhill, Ma on May 2, 1944. He was one of 10 children born to George N. and Ruth (McDonald) Yeo. Danny was raised in Groveland, Mass. and was a graduate of Haverhill High School, Class of 1962.
Danny was a master mechanic, working at some of the areas most renowned dealerships, such as Jaffarian Volvo, Border Buick and Rockingham Toyota Dodge. He was a jack of all trades as well. Danny was always willing to help anyone in need with his knowledge in several different trades.
Danny was forced to retire from the work that he loved in 2004 after suffering a massive heart attack. After his recovery he started a repair service with his brother and best friend, Jimmy. They worked together on everything from cars to small engine repairs of snowblowers, lawnmowers, etc.
Dan's love and devotion to family was second to none. He was the primary caretaker of his wife Stella after she became ill.
Danny loved golfing, fishing and archery. He was an award winning archer. His fishing stories are some of the best to be heard. He loved surf casting and fresh water fishing. He was also a big fan of football.
Danny is survived by the love of his life and wife of 50 years, Estelle Baker Yeo, 78. His son Michael Barber and wife Lynne of Raymond, NH. Daughters Danielle Penney and husband Brett of Haverhill, Tina Mooshian of Derry, Michelle Janvrin and husband Dennis of Milton, NH.
He is also mourned by his siblings Harold G. Yeo and wife Marlene of Haverhill, Margaret Lambalot and husband Robert of Connecticut, Laurie Perkins and husband Melvin of Haverhill, Heather Fairbanks and husband Jeff of Wilton, Maine and Judith Yeo of Amesbury, Mass.
Also, his grandchildren, Joshua, Nathan, Jarrod, John, Matthew, Jacob, Talia, Liberty, Shae and DJ, along with numerous nieces and nephews. Dan was predeceased by his brothers, George B. Yeo, James Yeo, sisters Ruth "Sandra" Huston, and Victoria Pettengill, and his eldest son Denis P. Barber.
A private memorial service for family will be announced at a date to be determined.

Uncle Dan, you were a great man! When my dad left, you took his place. You have taught me so much. I believe my mechanical ability has come from you taking the time to teach me a trade. I remember long nights in the garage working on cars with you. You will really be missed. I love you uncle Dan, until I see you again.

Hard to believe you're really gone. You gave the BEST hugs Dad. There's a void in our lives now that will never be filled. You'll be forever missed.
