Haverhill - David Ferreira passed away at his home in Haverhill, Massachusetts, on July 3, 2026.

Born in New Bedford, Massachusetts, David attended New Bedford schools and went on to earn a degree in Electrical Engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute. He enjoyed a successful career in the technology industry, working for Raytheon and later Digital Equipment Corporation before retiring from Hewlett-Packard in 2002.

Dave was a gifted musician who played both the accordion and vibraphone. During the 1970s, he performed at numerous events throughout the New Bedford and Cape Cod areas, bringing joy to audiences through his love of music.

Dave was a devoted family man who cherished time spent with his sons, Keith and Scott. He enjoyed playing video games with them, supporting their athletic pursuits, and cheering them on at games and events. When needed, he volunteered as a coach for Little League baseball and PAL Soccer.

Dave was predeceased by his parents, Gilbert and Mary (Correira) Ferreira, and by his beloved son, Scott Curtis Ferreira.

He is survived by his wife, Paula (Curtis) Ferreira; his son, Keith Ferreira; his granddaughters, Autumn and Charlotte Ferreira; mother-in-law Jean Curtis, sisters-and brothers-in law, many nieces and nephews, and many dear friends.

Dave will be remembered for his intelligence, kindness, musical talent, devotion to family, and great sense of humor. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

His family would like to thank the wonderful nurses of Mass General Brigham Home Care who helped Dave over the last year. And thank you to the staff of Tufts Hospice.

At Dave's request, there will be no services.
