Plaistow - Donna M. Credit, age 74, of Plaistow, NH, and formerly of Haverhill, passed away on Monday, June 1, 2026, at Benchmark at Haverhill Crossing.

She was born in Haverhill on June 16, 1951, daughter of the late Kenneth and Maria (Barhanys) Morse, Jr.

Donna was educated in the Haverhill School System and graduated from Haverhill High School with the Class of 1969.

Donna had several work experiences through the years. Her first and most precious job was being a Mom and then becoming an Ammie. (She said she was too young to be a Grammie). Donna worked many jobs, she worked as a Dental Assistant before moving on to Secretarial work. She worked for the Industrial Development Department for the City of Haverhill. She served as the Secretary to Mayor Waldron of the City of Haverhill. She became the personal Secretary to Haverhill City Councilor Theodore Pelosi whom she adored and served as his secretary when he was elected Mayor of the City of Haverhill. Donna served on the Haverhill City Council as well in the early 2000's. She served two terms.

Donna was full of spunk. She loved music, Shopping Shopping Shopping was her absolute favorite. She loved spending time at the ocean taking walks in search of sea glass or pirate treasure as she called it. Donna absolutely loved her condo at the beach. She would enjoy watching the storms that would roll in. She also had a passion for needle point, knitting, and crocheting. She enjoyed crossword puzzles and Trivia games. Donna was a Book of Knowledge. She was extremely smart and was a go to for information. Her memory was impeccable. She absolutely LOVED spending time with her grandchildren, especially cuddling with them whenever she could.

She married the LOVE of her life George on November 28, 1969. They made their home in Haverhill where they raised their four children.They were married for 47 years. She was predeceased by her husband George E. Credit who passed away in September of 2007.

Donna is survived by her loving children; Julie Credit and her fiancé Paul Boucher of Haverhill, Karen Castellano and her spouse Joseph of Newton NH, Jonathan Credit and his spouse Lilia of Haverhill, and Catherine Credit of Portsmouth; her siblings Terri O'Leary and her husband Joe of Haverhill, Lynda Morse of Haverhill and Lisa Morse of Haverhill; her grandchildren Joshua, Lia, Aaron,Brianna, Zakkary, Nicole, Dominic, Ashley, Keighley, MacKenzie, Madison, Sean, Liam, and Shea, as well as two great-grandchildren, Mason and Georgie.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend her calling hours on Sunday, June 7, from 4 to 6 p.m. in the H.L. Farmer & Sons Funeral Home, 106 Summer St., Haverhill. Her funeral service will be on Monday, June 8, at 11 a.m. at Holy Apostles Saints Peter & Paul Greek Orthodox Church, 156 Winter St. Haverhill. Interment will follow in the Greenwood Cemetery, Haverhill.
