Lawrence - Edgar Emilio Rodriguez Carrasco, age 24, of Lawrence, died suddenly on Tuesday, February 4, 2020, while on vacation in Miami, Florida.

Born in New York and raised in Lawrence, he was the son of Evelyn Carrasco of Lawrence and the late Emilio Rodriguez. Edgar was a class of 2013 graduate from the Greater Lawrence Technical School. He had many friends and was known to be a friendly person that was always smiling. Edgar loved to travel and he enjoyed being a DJ and listening to music.

In addition to his mother, Edgar is survived by his girlfriend, Arlette Ortiz; his son, Emil Rodriguez; one sister, Andreina Montero; three brothers, Jorge Luis Rodriguez, Luis Alberto Rodriguez and Luis Miguel Rodriguez; his maternal grandmother, Esterbina Del Orbe; and two nieces, Nicole Reyes and Ashley Diaz. He is also survived by many friends and relatives.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend visiting hours at the Diaz-Healy Funeral Home, 107 South Broadway, Lawrence, on Thursday from 5 to 8 p.m. Edgar's funeral will take place at the funeral home on Friday at 10:30 a.m. Interment will follow at St. Mary Cemetery in Lawrence.
