Groveland, MA - Elizabeth J. (Gallagher) Driscoll, age 84, of Groveland, passed peacefully Friday morning, January 17, 2020, at Port Healthcare Center in Newburyport, spending her last days with her family by her side.

One of seven children of the late William and Catherine (O'Neill) Gallagher, Elizabeth was born on August 1, 1935, in Lawrence. She was a graduate of Edward F. Searles High School in Methuen, Mass., class of 1952. She had worked as an electronics analyst at Western Electric for 35 years, retiring in 1995, and had been a member of the Telephone Pioneers of America.

As a devoted and dedicated mother, she was caring and nurturing, teaching her children to always be polite, respectful, mindful, considerate, truthful and above all else, loving. As she watched her children grow and flourish, she received the greatest gift of all, her three grandchildren and most recently, the additional gift of a great-granddaughter. Family was everything to her and she felt truly blessed by the love she received in return.

Her life's memories will continue to warm the hearts of all whose lives she touched so profoundly-her children, Catherine Boisselle, Debra O'Keefe and husband Lary, Richard Driscoll, and Patricia Walker and husband Matthew; grandchildren, Maxwell Walker, Kimberly O'Keefe, and Patrick O'Keefe, and wife Jennifer; her great-granddaughter, Kelley O'Keefe, along with countless nieces and nephews, extended family and friends. Elizabeth was predeceased by her three brothers and her three sisters, John, Thomas and William Gallagher and Dorothy Davies, Mildred Hulce and Katherine Blanchette.

Visiting hours at the Highland Chapel of Paul C. Rogers Family Funeral Home, 2 Hillside Avenue, Amesbury, will be Tuesday, January 21, 2020, from 4 to 7 p.m. A funeral Mass will be held Wednesday, January 22, 2020, at 10:30 a.m. at St Joseph's Church of the Holy Family Parish, 2 School Street, Amesbury, followed by burial at Riverview Cemetery in Groveland.

We will miss Betty’s sparkling eyes and infectious smile. We always looked forward to seeing her at the holidays and family gatherings. She was always interested in everything our children were doing....family was her world.

Betty and I were close friends while in high school and for many years following graduation. She referred to my house on Pelham St. as her "second home". We spent many happy times together and with other friends at school dances and skating at Canobie Lake. I was her maid of honor when she married Bob and have many happy memories of our friendship. My condolences to her family.
