Herbert A. Sweet Jr. of Hampstead, NH died suddenly of congestive heart failure February 13, 2018, at the age of 86. Born and raised in Melrose, MA; he was the son of the late Herbert and Marion (Outram) Sweet Sr.
For many years, Herb was employed at Lucent Technology. For recreation, he loved fishing, woodworking, painting, drawing and working on vehicles. He also enjoyed game shows.
He is survived by his four daughters, Cheryl McCarthy & her husband John; Deborah DeSantis & her husband Keith; Suzette Stratton & her husband Troy and Carol Johnson & her husband Marc and his son Daniel Sweet. He is also survived by nine grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
A private graveside service for family will be held at Puritan Lawn Memorial Park, Peabody, MA
