Peabody - John "Jack" K. English 94, of Peabody and Singer Island, FL, beloved husband of Adrienne L. (Foglia) English and the late Marie (McDonough) English, died Monday, September 27, 2021 at the Beverly Hospital.

Born in Lawrence, he was the son of the late Raymond and Anne (Donahue) English. He was raised and educated in Methuen and was a graduate of Bentley College.

He served his country during World War II as a member of the United States Navy.

Mr. English had owned and operated English Auto City in Lawrence, the first Honda dealership east of the Mississippi, for many years until the time of his retirement.

A resident of Singer Island, FL, Mr. English was an avid tennis player and golfer and was a master Bridge player. He enjoyed travelling throughout the world with his wife. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and friend who will be missed by all who knew him.

In addition to his wife with whom he shared thirty six years of marriage, he is survived by a daughter, Joyce Sweeney and her husband, Jack of Bedford, NH, two sons, Dana DeSimone and his spouse, Mark Bryand of Boston and Gary DeSimone and his wife, Shelley of Newbury, three grandchildren, Christina Dell'Orfano and her husband, Mark, Nicholas DeSimone and Sofia DeSimone, three great grandchildren, Mark Andrew, Kaitlyn and Ashley Dell'Orfano, one sister, Diana English of Floriida and several nieces and nephews. He was also the brother of the late Elaine Packer and Raymond English.

His funeral Mass will be celebrated at the Brooksby Village Chapel, 300 Brooksby Village Dr., Peabody, Friday, October 8, 2021 at 10 a.m. Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
