East Wakefield - Kathleen M. (Murphy) Compagnone, 92, formerly of Salisbury, Massachusetts, died Sunday June 21, 2026, at Mountain View Community in Ossipee NH surrounded by her loved ones.

Kathleen was born in Haverhill Massachusetts on December 8, 1933, to the late William and Jeanette (Belmonte) Murphy. She was a graduate of St. James Elementary and High School in Haverhill, MA.

She was employed by the North Andover School system in food service and Filene's as a "Fold and Fluffer" where she loved working alongside one of her best friends, Rita Drury. Kathleen was a deeply sweet and loving soul, known for her kindness, and compassion. She had a way of making people feel cared for, cherished, and understood. She especially loved traveling and cruising with her husband. Kathleen loved spending time with her many children and grandchildren. In her last few years, she especially loved lake life living and taking sunset cruises with her one wine spritzer waving to everyone on the lake. Kathleen enjoyed meals at restaurants with her St. James classmates where they would "catch up" with each other's lives and family.

The widow of the late Arthur Compagnone of North Andover MA, Kathleen is survived by her daughters, Karen Bourbeau and her husband Leo of Salem NH, Patricia Compagnone-Post and her husband Albert of Orange CT, Marie Drury and her husband Paul of Salem NH, Linda Kalucki and her husband Steve of East Wakefield NH, Kathryn Cormier and her husband Thomas of Marriottsville, MD, and Christine Asselin and her husband Ronald of Salem NH, and her son Michael Compagnone and his wife Alica of Huntersville, NH.

Also among her survivors are her sister Jean Gautreau of Albuquerque, New Mexico and her eleven grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren, as well as several nieces and nephews.

Family and friends may call on Thursday, June 25 from 4:00 - 8:00 PM at the Conte Funeral Home, 17 Third Street, North Andover, MA 01845. A Funeral Mass will be offered on Friday, June 26, 2026, at 10 AM at St. Michael's Church, 196 Main Street, North Andover, MA 01845. Burial will follow in St. James Cemetery, 360 Primrose Street in Haverhill, MA 01830.
