Chelmsford - Louis A. "Lou" Beaulieu, 81, passed away on January 30, 2026, with his family by his side. Born on March 15, 1944, in Davenport, IA, to the late Louis and Mary (Littig) Beaulieu, Lou was a man defined by his hard work and his love for his family.
Lou was a longtime resident of Chelmsford, MA, before moving to New Hampshire in 2024. He served as the Stockroom/Shipping Receiving Manager for Boston Acoustics until his retirement. Dedicated and active, he later worked part-time for Donelan's Market in Acton, MA.
Lou found joy in the simple pleasures of life. He loved camping and the freedom of the open road, often driving endlessly just to explore new places. He was a familiar face at his local Market Basket, where he made daily trips for his newspaper and lottery tickets. Lou was a passionate fan of all New England professional sports teams and rarely missed a game. He also looked forward to his annual trips to the Big E fair.
He was predeceased by his first wife, Rita (Senior) Beaulieu, in 1976, and his second wife, Diana (Ryan) Beaulieu, in 2016.
Lou is survived by his children, all of New Hampshire: James Beaulieu and his wife Alicia; Denise Sullivan and her partner Mark Butterfield; and Deborah Beaulieu. He is also survived by his loyal sidekick and beloved dog, Brittany.
Lou also leaves behind his siblings: Petronilla Kelley of Tucson, AZ; Collette Ozbun and her husband Bernie of Bismarck, ND; and Timothy Beaulieu and his wife Elizabeth of Tucson, AZ. His legacy lives on through his four grandchildren: Ashley, Stephanie, Shawn, and Rebecca; his four great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, February 4, 2026, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Tyngsborough Funeral Home, located at 4 Cassaway Dr, Tyngsborough, MA 01879. His Funeral service will take place on Thursday morning at 10:30 a.m. at the Tyngsborough Funeral Home. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, Chelmsford. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Lou's memory to the Merrimack Valley Food Bank at www.mvfb.org
