Mary P. Perry Obituary

Lawrence - Mary Perry, 79, of Methuen, MA, passed away peacefully on December 5, 2025, due to complications from Parkinson's Disease. At the time of her passing, she was a resident of Mary Immaculate Nursing Home.

Born on February 11, 1946, in Methuen, Mary was the beloved first daughter of Vincent and Marion (Fowler) Devaney. She attended St. Rita's Grammar School and graduated from St. Mary's High School.

Mary dedicated much of her early adult life to raising her five children, supplementing the household income with part-time work. Once her children were grown, she returned to the workforce, joining St. Ann's Home in Methuen. Starting as a housekeeper, Mary's dedication and warm spirit led to her promotion to administrative assistant; a role in which she was deeply respected and cherished until her retirement.

A lifelong parishioner of St. Monica's Church, Mary was a devoted member of several ministries, including Our Ladies of Sodality, Under Our Lady's Mantle, and the Seven Sisters Apostolate. Her commitment to community extended beyond the church; she was an active member of the Friends of the Library and volunteered at Nevins Nursing Home.

Mary is survived by her loving sisters, Marion Ritter and Patricia Bourassa, both of Methuen. She leaves behind five children who will miss her dearly, Susan Perry and her husband James Martin of Methuen, Patricia Rafferty of Methuen, Kelly-Ann MacKay and her husband Scott of Methuen, Paul Perry and his wife Denise of Haverhill and Kathleen Small and her husband James of Assonet. Mary was a proud and devoted grandmother to seven grandchildren Matthew Rafferty, Michael Barr, Ryan Perry, Emma Perry, Ella Perry, Lily Small, and Isabella Small; all of whom she adored and cherished.

Mary will be remembered for her unwavering faith, her generous heart, and the quiet strength with which she lived her life. Her legacy of love and service will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
