Haverhill - Michael Therriault, 74, a longtime resident of Haverhill, passed away on August 6, 2026.

Born May 11, 1952 in Lowell, Michael was the husband of Donna (West) Therriault, with whom he shared 49 years of marriage. He was the father of Andrew Therriault and wife Julia of East Boston and Rachael Bator and husband Matt of Stratham, NH.

Michael began his nursing career at Anna Jaques Hospital in Newburyport in 1973 and later worked for many years at Merrimack Valley Hospital, retiring in 2014 as an overnight shift nursing supervisor.

He loved the ocean, boating and fishing aboard his 23-foot Mako, the Donna Jean, and especially enjoyed Mako Marine fishing tournaments with his daughter, Rachael. He also enjoyed skiing, reading, traveling with Donna, and animals, particularly German Shepherds.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 12, in Driscoll Funeral Home, 309 So. Main Street, Haverhill from 5 to 7 p.m. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in Michael's memory reflecting his lifelong love of animals to the MSPCA at Nevins Farm, 400 Broadway, Methuen, MA 01844.
