Meriden - Rita M. Sanville, 95 passed away peacefully on Wednesday May 27, 2026 at The Village of Kensington Place, Meriden CT with her family at her side. Rita was a long time resident of Haverhill MA until she moved to CT in 2022 to be closer to her daughter. She was predeceased by her husband Ronald J. Sanville with whom she shared 65 years of marriage.

Born in Newburyport MA, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Aurora Morin of Haverhill. Rita was a graduate of Haverhill High School, class of 1949. She worked as a bookkeeper for Boston Furniture Company for 37 years and completed her career at the Haverhill Italian Credit Union with 10 years of service before retiring at age 66.

Rita had an unwavering devotion and commitment to her family who were the center of her universe. She is best known for her big heart, beautiful smile, generosity and her hospitality. When you walked through her door you were "family" and like it or not you were going to eat! Rita was a skilled 45's player and the biggest fan of her grandchildren and great granddaughter.

Rita was a long-time member of St. John the Baptist Church and had a great devotion to Mary. A loving wife, mother and "Maime", she leaves behind a cherished legacy of memories and a family who was abundantly blessed by her presence in their lives.

She is survived by her children, James Sanville of Midlothian, VA; Catherine Hull and her husband Brian of Berlin, CT; Brian Morin and his wife Lisa Beane of Tewksbury; Dan Sanville and his wife Denyne of Dunstable; Florence McKenna and her husband John of So. Weymouth; nine cherished grandchildren, Steven and Carolyn Sanville, Elizabeth and Rebecca Hull, Tobias Hull and his wife Madison, Kyle and Shaun Sanville, Daniel and Christina Ridge, her great granddaughter Eden Hull and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brothers Roger, Rene and Bobby Morin.

Her family would like to acknowledge the outstanding care and love provided by the staff at the Village of Kensington Place in Meriden, CT during her final years, in particular her nurses Krista Buonanni, Lisa Costello and kitchen staff manager Elena Constantinou, who always went above and beyond every day and held a very special place in Rita's heart.

Her family will forever be grateful for the compassionate and loving care provided by the staff of Franciscan Hospice during her final months: Kathia Ponce RN, Sister Catherine Mary, Mary Pardee and her faithful four legged furry companion Molly.

Family and friends are respectfully invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10:30 A.M. at St. John the Baptist Church, (part of St. Gabriel the Archangel Parish) 110 Lincoln Ave., Haverhill on Friday June 26, 2026.
