Mr. Robert B. “Pete” Roy, 85, passed away peacefully on February 8, 2017.

Born in Lawrence, on July 8, 1931, he was the son of the late Rene P. and Rita (Bourget) Roy. He graduated from St. Theresa’s Grammar School in Methuen, Central Catholic High School, Class of 1950, and Saint Michael’s College in 1954. He served in the USAF during the Korean War.

He was employed at Raytheon Corporation of Andover, MA as a Production Control Manager. He retired in 1992. He was a professional sports enthusiast, but he also loved following high school sports. His hobbies included flower gardening, reading and listening to Big Band music. He was a resident of Salem, N.H. for 58 years.

He was predeceased by his wife of 51 years, Naureen, and his brother, R. Paul Roy.

He leaves his three sons and eight grandchildren. Brian and his wife, Marie, of Merrimack, and their two children, Christine and Jennifer; Bill and his wife, Beth, of Boxborough, and their children, Michael, Jared and Conor; Rob and his wife, Teresa, of Norfolk, MA and their children, Patrick, Emmett and Faith; his brothers, Brother Rene D. Roy F.M.S. of Lawrence, and Raymond P. Roy of Newport, R.I., as well as several nieces and nephews.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday, February 13, 2017 at 12:30 p.m. in Saints Mary and Joseph Parish at Mary Queen of Peace Church, 200 Lawrence Rd, Salem, N.H. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery in Lawrence. Relatives and friends are invited to call on Sunday, February 12, 2017 from 3 to 7 p.m. at the John Breen Memorial Funeral Home, Inc., 122 Amesbury St., Lawrence, MA.
