Robert J. Caron, 89, of Groveland, passed away Tuesday, December 5, 2017, at High Pointe Hospice in Haverhill, Mass., after a brief illness. Robert was the husband of the late Mary (Torosian ) Caron. He was born in Lawrence, Mass., September 8, 1928, the son of the late Ernest and Yvonne (St. Pierre) Caron. Robert was raised in Lawrence and graduated from Lawrence High School. He honorably served in the United States Army during the Korean War having been awarded the Korean Service Medal, the Bronze Star, United Nations Service Medal and the National Defense Service Medal. Robert was employed for several years with the Haverhill Paper Board. He enjoyed wood working, traveling and spending time with family and friends. He will be missed by those who were blessed to know him.

Robert is survived by his son, Bruce Caron and wife, Lisa of Ludlow, Mass.; three grandchildren, Jonathan, Renee' and Grace; and his great-grandchild, Lillian. He also leaves behind several nieces, nephews, and countless friends including his dear friend, Carolyn Capen.

A graveside service in memory of Robert's life will be held Friday, December 15, 2017, at 11 a.m. from The Linwood Cemetery, 41 John Ward Ave., Haverhill, MA.
