South Yarmouth - South Yarmouth - Ruth Shirley (Parker) Moody, 95, formerly of Groveland, passed away peacefully on September 25, 2025 at her granddaughter's home in Manheim Township, PA surround by loving family. Mrs. Moody was the wife of the late Neil J. Moody.

Born in Haverhill, MA on March 5, 1930, Shirley was the daughter of the late Dana S. and Viola P. (Brown) Parker. She was the sister of the late Charles D. Parker.

Shirley graduated from Groveland High School, Class of 1947, and continued her education at Wilfred Academy in Boston, graduating in 1948. While raising her family, she worked for 46 years as a beautician before her retirement in1992. She was an avid gardener and long-time member of the Groveland Garden Club. Mrs. Moody is a member of the Groveland Congregational Church, where she served as a Deacon, and has been a member of several civic organizations. In recent years she has been an active member of Newcomers and Neighbors of Lancaster, PA.

Shirley is survived by her children Priscilla J. Moody-Eastman and her husband Kenneth of Haverhill, NH, Julianne P. Patterson and her husband David of Plantation, FL, N. Dana Moody and his wife, Lisa of Northfield, NH; seven grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. She held a special place in her heart for her nephews Jeffrey R. Ball, and Chuck Parker, nieces, Jennifer Jean (Ball) Fernandez and Diane Parker, and their spouses, children, and grandchildren.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a memorial service on Tuesday, October 7, 2025 at 10 a.m. at Groveland Congregational Church. Inurnment to follow at Linwood Cemetery.
