Groveland - Sharon (Willett) Hegh, age 75, passed away on January 23 at Port Health Center in Newburyport after a long battle with cancer.
Born in Haverhill, Oct. 26, 1944, she was the daughter of the late Leo and Barbara(Jackson) Willett and sister of the late Janice L. Devens.
Sharon was a lifelong resident of Groveland and a member of the first class to graduate from Pentucket High School. She was completely devoted to her family and her greatest joy was in traveling to the hundreds of plays, musicals, concerts, science fairs and graduations of her grandchildren, whom she cherished. Our family's best cheerleader will be dearly missed.
Sharon is survived by her beloved husband, Michael Hegh of Groveland, four daughters; Barbara Taylor of Bradford, Michelle Burnim of NH, Cynthia Taylor Wessant and her partner Patrick Bevelaqua and his daughter Rachel of Groveland, Melissa Ackerson and her husband Robert Jr. of Loudon N.H. and step daughter Patricia Salois and her husband Denis of Methuen Ma. Seven grandchildren; Samuel Burnim and Audrey Burnim of NY, Matthew and Emily Wessant of Groveland, Nicholas Ackerson of Methuen and Corey and Julie Ackerson of Loudon NH a nephew, Peter M. Devens and his wife Candace of Haverhill and niece, Lisa S. Devens-Royea and her son Dylan of Haverhill.
At Sharon's request, services will be private at the H.L. Farmer & Sons Funeral Home, 106 Summer St. with interment to follow in the Riverview Cemetery, Groveland.
