Port Charlotte - Susan Marie (Clark) Mahoney , 64, of Port Charlotte FL , passed away on April 20th, 2026, peacefully after complications from a sudden health episode.

Born in Saugus MA on May 18th 1961, Susan was the daughter of the late Leonard and Leona Clark. She was raised in Haverhill MA and was a graduate of Haverhill High School.

Susan lived in Haverhill until 2024, and worked at Lucent Technologies in North Andover. Susan then obtained a certificate in medical billing and worked at Saints Memorial hospital in Lowell and then Wellsky corporation in Andover until her passing.

Susan was truly angelic in her approach to life, with an intrinsic ability of making people around her feel seen, heard, and cared for. Susan was a devoted and amazing mother, raising two sons in Haverhill who she adored. She was a true neighborhood mom, always offering a loving and caring home for her sons and their friends to create many amazing memories. Susan's love was unconditional and she would open up her home and her heart for anyone who needed it. Susan was always taking her sons and friends to skate parks, movies, snowboarding, concerts and so many other places that lead to invaluable experiences.

Susan was the youngest of four siblings and adored by many. She had a deep love for her siblings and their bond was often illustrated by selfless and kindhearted gestures. Susan had a wonderful sense of humor with an infectious laugh. She was a brilliant and talented baker, and this passion was an extension of how she showed love to others. Susan was the head baker for loved ones and her thoughtfulness and love shined through every creation she baked.

Susan was preceded in death by her son Michael and survived by her son Shawn, and 3 siblings, Donna Clark and partner Sheilah Conway of North Port FL, Betty Martin and husband Jim Martin of Groveland MA, and Lenny Clark and wife Patty Clark of Liberty Lake WA. Susan leaves behind nephews Lenny Clark and his wife Steph of Tekoa WA, Christopher Clark of Medford Ma, Charley Martin and wife Haley of Rochester NH, great-niece, Isabella Clark of WA, and great nephew , Clark of Rochester NH. Susan also leaves behind a wonderful village of friends in Florida.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend a celebration of her life on Monday, June 29th 2026 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the home of her Sister Betty Martin at 39 Elm Park Groveland MA. Parking will be available at the municipal parking lot next to Groveland Water Dept., 23 School St., Groveland, MA. The celebration of life will be held outside, so attendees are encouraged to dress for weather and dress casually.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to LifeLink Florida, a non-profit organization that Susan used to save lives through organ and tissue donation.
