Methuen - Theresa (Gingras) Gagnon, age 97, of Methuen, passed away peacefully at home following a period of declining health on Sunday, May 31, 2026, six years to the day of the passing of her husband.

Theresa was born on October 21, 1928, in Lawrence. She was the 20th of 21 children to Napoleon and Marie (Bibeau) Gingras. She was a homemaker and woman of strong faith who dedicated her life to caring for her immediate and extended family. She always put the needs of others first and often claimed that she was truly blessed.

Theresa was predeceased by her beloved husband of 71 years, Laurence Gagnon, her parents, and all her siblings.

She is survived by her children, Dianne Kelleher and her husband Michael, Dennis Gagnon, and Mark Gagnon and his wife, Sandra; her grandchildren: Todd Kelleher and his wife, Donna, Chad Kelleher and his wife Elizabeth, Meghan Powers and her husband Robert, Lisa Beardmore and her husband Peter, Brandyn Marengi and her husband, Louis, and Justin Gagnon and his wife, Sarah Anne. Theresa also had thirteen great-grandchildren and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

The family would like to express their gratitude to Tufts Medicine Care at Home for their care and support over the past year.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Theresa's memory to St. Vincent de Paul Society, 115 Wheeler Road, Dracut, MA 01826.


Visiting Hours will be held on Friday, June 12, 2026 from 9 to 10 a.m. at St. Francis of Assisi Parish, 115 Wheeler Road, Dracut, MA 01826. Her Funeral Mass will begin at 10 am. Burial to follow at Elmwood Cemetery.
