Warren D. Boisvert, Sr., 93, of Peabody and formerly of Medford, Billerica and Charlestown, died Friday morning at Continuing Care at Brooksby Village following a brief illness. He was the devoted husband of the late Ruth (Dean) Boisvert.
Born in Medford, he was the son of the late Charles E. and Madeline (Richard) Boisvert. He was raised and educated in Medford, later lived in Charlestown, Mass., for 28 years and Billerica for 31 years, and has spent the last seven years living in Peabody.
Warren was a veteran of World War II, who proudly served with the United States Navy, before he was honorably discharged in 1945.
Warren was employed as a sheet metal mechanic and was a member of Local 17 for many years. He also was a life long member of the Veteran of Foreign War at Post 388, Post 19, and Post 8819 in Billerica.
He was an avid sports fan and loved watching all of Boston’s professional sports team, especially the Boston Bruins, where he had season tickets for many years. Warren had an infectious smile and a great sense of humor and will be missed by all.
Warren is survived by his two sons, Warren D. Boisvert, Jr. and Donna Dickerson of East Bridgewater and Ralph and his wife, Susan M. Boisvert of Salem, N.H.; his daughter, Sandra and her husband, Max Ross of Bulverde, Texas; his sister, Joan Havey of Peabody; his beloved eight grandchildren, Michelle Loud, Derek Boisvert, Amanda Griffin, Amy and Michael Cohen, and Jessica, Laura, and Charles Boisvert. He is also survived by 10 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his siblings, Charles E Boisvert, Jr., Robert Francis Boisvert and Madeleine Horrigan.
His Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday at 10 a.m. at the Brooksby Village Chapel, 300 Brooksby Village Dr., Peabody, to which relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Burial will be in Billerica Cemetery, Billerica, MA. Expressions of sympathy can be made in his name to Care Dimensions, 75 Sylvan St., Danvers, MA 01923.
